We have a County Council by-election! St John's 24th April 2025

19 Mar 2025

Just when we thought we were going to get a year off from elections in Ipswich, there was a resignation from Suffolk County Council! We now have a by-election on Thursday 24th April in St. Johns. St John's residents are lucky to get a chance to hold the Tory County Council to account, as elections to the County have been suspended during the local government re-organisation. Voters are already agreeing with us about the mess-up over libraries and the state of the County's roads continue to astonish with the sheer pot-hole density in places like Freehold Road, Kemball Street and Kirkby Road.

Ipswich Liberal Democrats have selected St John's resident Kelly Turner (above & right) to fight the seat.
