Open Mosque Day by Oliver Holmes

Many thanks to Bond Street Mosque for their hospitality recently as part of a national open event organised by the Muslim Council of Britain. Members of the Mosque gave Inga Lockington and me, together with other local people, a guided tour and patiently explained the Five Pillars of their faith. It was an enlightening and enjoyable experience. It is making rich connections such as these which enable us to deepen our respect for and understanding of one another. Inga is held in high esteem by the community and was asked to join the Imam and Mosque elders in giving a formal address to us all. A special and memorable day.
