How can the community help in the fightback against drugs gangs?

Well, Councillors Inga Lockington and Oliver Holmes have recently met an inspiring Ipswich resident who used to be involved with London gangs and has now turned his life around. David Oyewobi runs Community Interest Company OJB Ventures which aims to steer vulnerable young people into music projects instead of joining street gangs. He says: "I had to learn the hard way that it is really difficult to break out of gang membership once you are in. I use this experience to connect with kids and young people in a way they can relate to. You have to work really hard with every young person, but the fulfilment I get when they make a breakthrough is incredible."

If you know of anyone who needs help breaking out of a gang David can be contacted on David.oyewobi444@gmail.com
