Nick Clegg's LibDems are shown in the lead on http://today.yougov.co.uk/
Just about everybody - including Gordon Brown - "agrees with Nick" and the opinion polls immediately after last Thursday's debate showed the LibDems soaring. "That will soon change" seemed to be the response of various, scarcely independent observers.
So it is interesting to see the YouGov poll today, with field work carried out on the 19th and 20th April, showing the LibDems leading on 34%, the Tories on 31%, and Labour trailing on 26%. All the sundry "others" rack up 9% between them.
Even more fascinating reading is a further YouGov poll showing that a massive 49% would vote LibDem if we were seen to have a reasonable chance of winning. (If I had a pound for every time I have heard that on a doorstep, I could take retirement now!) In those circumstances, YouGov reports that the Tories would fall to 25%, with a "meagre" 19% supporting Labour.
