Labour axe falls on 3 Ipswich Post Offices

Post Office signLabour is closing 3 more of our Post Offices. Despite intensive campaigns to save them, it has been confirmed that Christchurch Street, Norwich Road and London Road Post offices will close in the new year (but not until after the next local elections).

Following a well-supported campaign Fore Street Post Office will remain open.

The latest closures are just the latest in a series of assaults on Ipswich's Post Office network which has seen the number of branches fall from 23 to 13 under Labour.

The Liberal Democrats had a costed plan to save our Post Offices but the Government refused to listen to any proposals other than the closure of 2,500 post offices nationally.
