The Suffolk Real Nappy Network has won back funding from the County Council that was taken away by the Tory administration only a year ago.
Ipswich Liberal Democrats campaigned against the cut at the time, and since, for a re-reinstatement of the funding. Suffolk Real Nappy Network, which is run by volunteers, publicises the benefits of cloth nappies to parents.
Suffolk spends £600,000 per year disposing of nappies with each baby using over 4,000 nappies in their lifetime. You can see what the real nappy network is doing at their offices in Westgate House, Museum Street, on Wednesdays.
Note: Ipswich Lib Dem Cllr and Deputy Group Leader Louise Gooch, is a Director of the Suffolk Real Nappy Network.
