Lib Dems' drive on plastic bags

Ipswich Lib Dems are leading the way on reusable bags

Lib Dem Cllr Louise Gooch is leading Ipswich's drive to end the plastic bag. As portfolio holder for the Environment Louis is co-ordinating activities that will reduce dramatically use of plastic bags in favour of re-usable alternatives.

The final proposals are not ready yet but Lib Dems are working hard with local retailers to work up practical means of solving this problem.

Meanwhile you can "Choose 2 Re-use" as the campaign is termed. More information is available via recycling@ipswich.gov.uk or via 01473 432099.
