St Lawrence Church £1m works get go-ahead.

Thanks to a £400,000 grant from Ipswich Borough Council and a £700,000 grant secured through the Haven Gateway, the church is be become a community centre for a variety of local groups and charities including of course Age Concern. A

Age Concern have not had a home for their tea rooms since Labours redevelopment plans at the Town Hall failed to provide alternative accommodation for them.

St Lawrence Church has been left empty ever since the early 1970s and has been used to store furniture and garden ornaments.
