Emergency beds available to homeless

Homeless man sleeping rough.

No one should be sleeping rough in Ipswich - particularly at Christmas.

Ipswich Borough makes emergency beds available for those that find themselves without a roof over their head. Take-up is only 30% however. If you know someone sleeping rough this Christmas please ask them to contact the council on 01473 433239 or call in at the Customer Service Centre in the Town Hall.

Whilst there is a small number of people that prefer to 'sleep rough' it is important in the cold these people are encouraged to take up what the Borough offers by way of shelter.
