Residents overwhelming support for experimental Norwich Road changes

Cllr. Inga Lockington introduced popular changes to Norwich Road

A year ago Liberal Democrat portfolio holder for Transport, Cllr. Inga Lockington, introduced some experimental changes to Norwich Road in order to improve traffic flow by removing some unnecessary restrictions. A recent survey conducted by Cllr. Andrew Cann and the Lib Dem Team in Westgate found over 80% of residents supported the changes and wanted to see the experiment continued and extended in scope.

A number of residents also wished to see more allowance for cyclists and other forms of transport which has been taken on board.

An analysis of residents and other users views will be conducted shortly by the Borough Council to see what the future has in store for Norwich Road. We will report back when proposals are ready.
