Sizewell B - 72% of people say no to Nuclear Power.
With the announcement that the Government plans to build a new generation of Nuclear Power Stations, and the likelihood that Sizewell C would be one of the first, comes the shock that our rights to a full public inquiry will be cut.
Alastair Darling has said he wants to 'make it easier for people to replace power plants'. He considers that the current planning system which enables all to have their say through public inquiries takes too much time.
The length of a public inquiry is related to the number of objections and public opinion is against nuclear power. Perhaps thats the real reason Mr Darling doesn't want to allow people to have their say - he will not get the answer he wants.
