Labour admits it caused Benefits problems

Andrew Cann "Labour have come clean that they introduced infamous 'Pericles' benefits system".

After months of denial (just like the Age Concern Tea Rooms fiasco) Labour has finally admitted that it was responsible for introducing the now infamous 'Pericles' computer system which is causing such misery to people who rely on benefits.

Labour now admit that they could foresee problems with the new system (Cllr. Sandy Martin). They still went ahead however.

The new administration is now, just like with the Tea Rooms, having to deal with the consequences of Labours incompetence.

Rather than take responsibility and try to help Labour still have their heads in the sand however. Questioned about this at June 28ths Council Meeting the Labour Leader, David Ellesmere just said "I don't wish to discuss this any further". Thats just not good enough.
