The Lib Dem coalition administration is 'delivering more affordable housing than ever before' says Ipswich Labour Councillor Sandy Martin (EADT letters June 27th 2006). This is despite Labour claiming that the administration was cutting investment in Social Housing during the recent local election. Cllr. Martin goes on to say that development in Ipswich 'is serving to regenerate our county town in a way which is both economically and environmentally sustainable'.
Of course Labour don't give credit to the current administration for this improvement in housing builds in Ipswich but themselves - two years after they left office. That's strange, as the improvement has been in the last two years. It seems even when Lib Dems are in power and making positive changes Labour still wants to take the credit - or the biscuit!
