Lib Dems launch save Suffolk Post Offices campaign

Since 1999 53 post offices have closed in Suffolk - 7 of which have been closed in Ipswich.

Since the start of the year 5 more have permanently closed with 9 more on a temporary basis.

This situation will only get worse with the Government withdrawing support for the post offices soon. Suffolk Lib Dems Kathy Pollard and Andrew Cann have put a motion to the County Council calling on their support for the Post Office network. We shall report back the outcome of this motion following the full council meeting on Thursday 25th May.
