Administration saves £35k on plants

The new Borough administration took the decision to buy plants for our parks and roundabouts from commercial growers, rather than continue with our own nursery, saving £35,000 a year.

As a result Chantry Nursery will be closing but with no compulsory redundancies

Labour voted against this saving: they would just carry on spending.
